I have been involved in fitness for most of my life. Baseball, broomball and hockey were the team sports I played. I have also been a competitive martial artist for several years, and have over 18 years experience as a student and teacher in karate and kickboxing. I was first introduced to Pilates in 2005. I was hesitant and unsure so I took several private lessons to see if I would like it - well I liked it so much I took the training to become a teacher! My inspirations for this were two fantastic teachers who challenged and motivated me to become a better student - Laura and Heather. The changes in my body were incredible, better posture, strength in my core, length in my muscles, my balance improved and the shape of my body changed.
Kickboxing, hill hiking and cross country skiing round out my active living world - I believe a little goes a long way - so just get out there and do something!
